I'll have a second refrigerator soon. However, the refrigerator has a freezer up top. I'd like to use the freezer at normal freezer temps to store extra meats and frozen foods, but it'd be great to use the refrigerator portion to house some beers.

Is there a way to regulate only the refrigerator portion on the bottom to convert it to around 55 degrees?

I originally posted this within another thread that had discussed an external regulator, but I don't think the external regulator will work with this, because it'll bring the temp of the freezer up. Is there such a thing as an internal regulator or some other device I can use for just the refrigerator portion?

Yes, most standard refrigerators have a temperature controller (usually just a numbered dial COLD > COLDER on the back wall, top shelf) which has no effect on the freezer portion. I keep my beer fridge at around 45-50° (an Amana set at "3" on the 1-7 dial) and the freezer portion keeps frozen foods/ice with no problem.

Haha. I'm aware of the controller already present, but the warmest the fridge gets is about 42 - a little too cold for my liking. I was wondering if there is a way to modify it to get it up to 55.
