The turn that this thread has taken has reminded me that I need a beer...

Go for it. You realize of course that you would be posting a picture of yourself committing vandalism? Not that I can't sympathize with the sentiment.

Be prepared with a good supply of beer for the last half of September when there will be multiple "whinges" about the refund period being too short or about not finding out about it until too late and so being denied a refund.

Yes. I'll also spray paint my name, number and address on my back in glow in the dark paint and take one for the BA team so everyone can lighten the f@#k up.

A few months ago after seeing this thread, I opened up a bottle that was dated Nov 04 15, and it was good and I was excited. After seeing the bottles listed for refunds I opened up a bottle again.

Same fridge, same conditions and the beer changed dramatically in a bad sour way.

Now I'm less excited about it and while I'm thankful for a refund, I'd rather have different bottles. I have a 10 left that are all the same date, I'll see if any are different or better.

We opened up two 11/9 bottles and they are both sour. Then we opened one 11/5 bottle, two Props and one coffee stout. In total, we drain poured six tonight. That's a bad night.

So basically my 10NOV15 have become quite valuable? :grinning: I feel very lucky to have a batch that seems to have skirted the problems.

Glad to see GI making this right for the bottles that have/had issues. Good luck to those with bad bottles. Hope this year's release treats everyone better!

11/4, purchased in MN. Delicious, no off flavors by anyone at bottle share

DON'T TELL ME 11/9 IS BAD :grimacing:

I have eight 11/9 bottles, one 11/10, and two 11/12.

Agreed. My bottle of reg. is 11/9 and that isn't covered on the recall so that would be very disheartening if they have to issue a third recall...

Just opened a suspect infected bottle tonight. Dated 30OCT15 1032 - 14.3%. Tasted great. Actually better than the one that I had in March that was likely the same batch.

Very true. The big bad part was mildly sarcastic, but GI is definitely much different than it was back then.

I think growth inherently changes them. One of my favorite locals, that was known for German styles, no longer bottles or regularly brews a few of the beers I used to buy by the case and is doing much more to ride the fads and trends that sell in their greatly enlarged distribution footprint. It seems they have lost interest in what made them great in their home market. :slight_frown:

Hopefully you have better luck with your bottles than me! It was very disappointing.

Agreed, I have 4 bottles of 11/9 and really hoping they either eventually get covered under the recall or prove to be tasty! When I do open them it will be on camera.

This is bullshit! I deserve a refund for the Prop I drank and enjoyed with my cousin over Christmas!

Opened a 11/4 and let it eventually get to the uncomfortable room temperature in my living room (77 degrees). No hint of sourness, tasted terrific.

I have 2 more bottles left from the same date that i'm planning on saving 6 months then a year. Will probably apply for the refund for those bottles just in case...

Had an 09Oct15 tonight after the dates came out and it was definitely infected. Could tell from first smell - winey. I couldn't do it and drain pour it was. Had 3 bottles from this date, fortunately I had the first 2 close to release and they were fine. At least I'll get $ back on this bottle.
