I've purchased bottles to go at the main site. IIRC I bought them at the counter just inside the door on right. But that was a while ago.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the Getrankemarkts there, they will have beer by the case, but you can just grab one or two or ten out of the case and buy them as singletons. You don't have to buy the entire case.

And if you do buy an entire case, decant the bottles into a crate from one of the big national brands, so the brewery’s case stays in the region and goes back to them. It's a big problem for some small breweries if they don't get their cases back, because they cost much more to replace than the 6 euro or whatever it is deposit you pay on them.

Success at Kneitinger! Thanks everyone for their suggestions. Interesting thing is that they required I buy 6 bottles but I could mix them. €7.50 all in for 6 bottles. And the bock is great!

    Half liter bottles?

I wish local breweries around here were that economical.

We stay in a B&B/Inn at Kelheim and the small frig in the lobby area is stocked with Weltenberger and Schneiderweiss for about the same price. Just tell them how many bottles you drank at check-out.

It's clean, comfortable, and convenient to the train station. Plus it's cheap.

I used to want to stay in the old town centers of towns like Bamberg and Regensburg, but now I prefer the convenience of being near the train station over the desire to be in the historic centers.

We've enjoyed the bock in Sept & October as well as April/May. I am counting on it this Spring.

There are several Kneitinger locations including-

Brauereigaststätte Kneitinger (“Mother Haus”). Address: Arnulfsplatz 3. Bus lines 1, 2, & 11 from Hbf and line 4 along the Danube.

Kneitinger Unter den Linden. Address: Dr.-Johann-Maier-Straße 1.
Bus line 1 also continues on to the Taxisstraße stop on the southside of Kneitinger unter den Linden and Line 11 goes to Ostdeutsche Galerie on the northside of Kneitinger unter den Linden.
Line 4 also services Fischmarkt to Arnulfsplatz (Motherhaus) and on to Taxisstraße (unter den Linden).

Kneitingerkeller is located several blocks south of the Regensburg Hbf. Address: Galgenberg-str. 18. Large biergarten and an inside hall. We love the Mother Haus and Unter den Linden and were not as enamored with Keller, but others love it.

I just got back from another business trip to Regensburg. I didn’t make it into Kneitinger this time, but I did find a small bottle shop in the city center that had bock in bottles so I packed it in my luggage. Such an awesome beer.
