You live on the wrong end of Massachusetts. I put out 15 cases today. Still had 5 when I got out of work.

Around me, we have Thirsty Dog's Wulver and BA Siberian Night. Both are quite good.

Ahhh crap sorry I misread that. Only getting one case of coffee Monday or Tuesday. Late arrival. Sorry. Didn't mean to crush your spirit.

The one I can get is always better than the one I can't. Hunting BCBS, to me, is not worth it.

Not too hard for me to get Kane A Night To End All Dawns and 750's of that suit me fine.

Agree completely with BA Blackout. Simply outstanding. And Wulver is one of the best (the best?) beers in Ohio.

Epic brewing Big bad baptist is pretty solid, probably more comparable to KBS though...none the less, you shouldn't have to try too hard to get it. CW BB Barleywine and BB scotch ale are pretty phenomenal too!

Having had the 2013 BCBS a few times, I can honestly say I prefer my local bourbon barrel aged stout option: Fremont's KDS. To my mind and to my palate, it's just a better, tastier, smoother, and more drinkable beer. I enjoyed the coffee and spice variants even more than the base, which is saying something. BCBS, I understand, deserves accolades for pioneering along this path, but it seems to me that many smaller, more local breweries around the country have crafted options which are at least as good on their own merits.

Hellfighter makes BCBS taste like pig swill, in my not so humble opinion. In fact, Narwhal is better than BCBS from my limited experience. Barrel-aged Hellfighter? It's as good as beer gets.

I was going to also say this when I read the title...

Even before the fire (didn't want any one to think it was out of pity) I have really very much been enjoying there stuff. I think they are possiably the next brewery to really hit an elite status. I'm drinking a 'Dark Apparition' right now, gotta say... It is world class all the way!!

Those sit on the shelf in Philly due to the price. Usually like $18 and $22 respectively. I've always passed.

I'm not quite sure why Older and BA Santa's are so expensive- granted, shops are buying them from distributors, so no reason to lower the price on Port's end.

I think Older was my first BA Imperial Stout.

Ya but that santa's little helper is like 3x the cost of BCBS, at least for me in PA. Priced like that, I am only drinking 1 of them this year. Actually I already drank it. I was trying to wait because it has Christmas pictures on it but no.

That Anderson Valley Wild Turkey BA stout bomber is good and much better priced. Sometimes I'll grab 1 of them and I think it's 10 bucks or so.

C'mon man. Narwhal is 1 noted like a mofo. I like who brews it, but that beer is boring as fuck. I'm going to let you pass though, as you have noted your limited experience

I would say around here, the best alternative would be the BA variants of Jack's Abby's Framinghammer. Tasty tasty stuff.
