Regional sub-forums and one other question

Would it be possible to add sub-forums to the various regional groups? For example, the Northwest forum covers a fairly large chunk of area, but many of the threads are only applicable or interesting to people in one of the major metro areas.

My thought was that people could post stuff of regional significance such as festivals and region-wide bottle releases into the parent "Northwest" forum, while anything that relates strictly to one city/metro area like, "I'm going to be in PDX on March 5th, who wants to get a beer?" posts could go directly into a Portland-specific child forum.

I'm not sure how much user feedback is considered when making these decisions, but I figured I'd play with the fancy new polling feature to try and gauge people's opinion on the subject.

As for the "other questions", is there any plan to allow people to subscribe/unsubscribe from the various forums, similar to what was in place on the old site? It's pretty rare that I'm going to want to read the regional forums for the east coast, and it would be nice to reduce the clutter on the page by only showing the forums/groups I'm interested in. I'm not sure if the framework this this forum is built on even allows such a thing, but if possible I would greatly appreciate it.
