Regular Austin Tasting at Farrah's

I'm down. Was great last time...the outside space is pretty awesome about 10 months out of the year, at least at night.

 

WTF man. I open the link and the first thing I see is soulless boy staring at me with who might be possibility his mom belly dancing next to him pointing at the sign adverting "romantic dinner for two". You sure we're talking about beer tasting?

 

That website doesn't exactly scream beer tasting....

 

Ignore the website. The outside area has lots of table space for big groups, and there are some smoking hot ladies belly dancing.

The food is good, and the hookahs are fun too.

 

I concur... Phara's is a lot of fun. It's BYOB too, so there'd be no problem doing a tasting there with some tasty lamb and hookahs.

Draught House is more convenient for me though, just because I can take the bus literally right to the doorstep from my place.

 

I don't think Josh means this as a replacement, but as an alternative or addition.

 

I'm not a big fan of Sundays either. A Friday evening or Saturday event would be great (just not on Ananke day!)

 

I vote third sunday at this weird old lady rapey place.

 

You can't really ask for a higher recommendation than that.....

 

Phara's is excellent, and a much better venue than Draughthouse, IMO. DH has such small tables, that you're always feeling as if you're just outside of the tasting, no matter where you sit. Phara's has those nice long tables. It feels more communal and open.

So you sweat constantly and smell like urine? Interesting.
