Already hitting DFH brewpub and the brewery. Looking for some other cool beer bars to hit. Also looking for a liquor store worth hitting on the way in, out, or while in town or near the brewery. Any late night food spots? Good breakfast? Staying about 2 blocks from the brewpub closer to the ocean. Any good food on the boardwalk? Not gonna spend 12 hours at DFH. Any suggestions are appreciated. Looked at the rehoboth city guide on here already and it wasn't much help honestly. Hoping to find some beers I can't get in jersey. I see new Belgium is pretty much everywhere. Looking for some alewerks and prairie. Thanks.

If you're driving down through DE from NJ, State Line Liquors is a 20 minute detour round trip and the best that a liquor store in MD could be (which makes it better than the best in DE). Not really in your path if you're taking the ferry though.

I've never seen Alewerks or Prairie on the shelf in either state, but Two Stones Pub in northern DE has had Bomb! in the past.

@benz08 Thrasher's French Fries on the board walk are pretty famous, and I think worth the hype. I like them with a little malt vinegar.

I'm familiar with state line but I'm not driving for once so detours more than across the street are too far. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Henelopen CITY oyster house is fantastic... GO!

    http://www.hcoysterhouse.com/

Bottle shops are mostly about all the same all on Rt. 1. You can check Atlantic Liquors, Outlet Liquors, also Cape Wine just outside in Lewes... those are plenty of bottle options.

Get Ice Cream at the Ice Cream Store.
There's a good crepe place in one of the alleys but it gets busy
The Bake Shoppe is not bad for some morning pastries and baked goods

Henlopen City Oyster House is the correct answer here. Pickled Pig Pub on rt. 1 is another solid choice.

There is a plethora of great food in Rehoboth - it's an eating town. As far as late night, Arena's in rehoboth is good for late night sandwiches. If you're looking for specific food options I can steer you in the right direction.

You won't find Prarie on shelves.

Stingray sushi is open late, and has a fine selection of sake'.

I agree with everyone about Henlopen City Oyster House. It was excellent for food and beer. Could be a problem if you hate teku glasses, though.
We had breakfast at a little diner-type place on the same street as DFH, about a block or two from the ocean. It wasn't anything unique, but a serviceable breakfast.

If you want a fine dinner, go to my friend's restaurant, the Bramble and Brine. Great cocktails and amazing food.

Helopen City Oyster House. Boardwalk food is not good. Restaurants on Baltimore Ave. and Wilmington Avenue.

Liquor store-wise, Atlantic Liquors on Rt. 1 is where I always stop just to see whats there, over the years what they have there and we have here in NJ has become more and more similar.. Apart from DFH in the Rehoboth Ave area, Arena's has a good bottle selection and good sandwiches (and good margaritas), Henlopen City Oyster House has a really good beer selection has a rotating selection on cask (my wife and I don't even eat seafood and we always stop there for a cheese board and cask beers, last summer had Troegs Flying Mouflan on cask there and it was awesome).. Also food-wise, Dos Locos on Rehoboth ave is great for stone-grilled Mexican and margaritas. You must try Thrashers fries while there. And honestly, if you are willing to have a slightly early or late dinner, the food at DFH is pretty good and the wait shouldn't be too bad, so its worth trying to eat there one night, or at least have lunch there. Another good place for lunch is The Green Man which has mostly wraps and brunch-type stuff. Additionally, theres a place on the boardwalk called Obie's which has good mixed drinks and is one of the places that stays open latest (like 2 or 3 am, whereas Dogfish closes at midnight I think). If you are going to be there a few nights it may also be worth checking places in Lewes, there is a restaurant there called Kindle which we recently discovered and loved (which is right by where DFH said they would be opening a hotel)..

I strongly think that Mariachi on Wilmington Ave is vastly superior to Dos Locos for Mexican food. The food is excellent, and if the weather's nice, the 2nd floor porch can't be beat. I also think Louie's fries are better than Thrasher's, and if you like ketchup on your fries, Thrasher's won't help you.

Bramble & Brine is delicious, and they have a small, but interesting bottle list.

That's the Peter Pan diner. It's exactly how you described it.

Already happened. Tried to go to henlopen because it was basically in the parking lot of my hotel but they closed at 11. Food at DFH was mixed. Awesome short rib fries but my meatloaf sandwich was basically cold. Also was too damn full. Thrashers fries were good. Hit some random amazing dairy farm on the way back from the brewery to rehoboth for awesome ice cream. Nothing was open for late night snacks that was walkable. Really good drinks at DFH I suggest blood orange vodka and vanilla vodka with either seltzer or club soda(Stewarts orange cream). Ended up gettin a way too long tour at the brewery over an hour and a half. Took us into the new bottling building which none of the other tours went into. Ended up being much warmer than the forecast said even the day before. I was stuck with a boring group that was asleep by 1030. They didn't understand the power of the mid-afternoon nap. Needless to say I closed the brewpub down Saturday night. It was fun. I could have had more fun with a different group. They just seemed to want 120 and get drunk as fast as possible. Asymmetric and afternoon snack were good.

I was at Henelopen on Saturday night, had a 750 ml bottle of 2010 Cantillon Lou Pepe Gueuze for $22 drink in. We had a 375 ml of regular Cantillon Kriek, too. I love that place, it's a must stop every time I visit the beach.

Pretty sure your untappd check-ins were what was drawing me to want to go. Wanted to spend time with my friends but also wanted to go where I wanted without it seeming like I ditched them. Unfortunately at 11pm the only bar worth going was back to DFH. They had a pretty cool band and the drinks I previously mentioned so it was fine.
