But our beer scene is getting so much better now! We finally have a few decent breweries, but I understand the opportunity would be hard to pass up.

Austin, TX is awesome for beer and awesome for many other respects. Mid summer I dream of being back in Massachusetts, my homeland, because this place gets disgustingly hot, but besides that, Austin is awesome. Lots of amazing craft beer happening, new beer gardens and local craft oriented bars opening, and other great beer developments as well.

I'd probably move into the Founders barrel mine.

The weather sucks in San Diego! I have no interest in 85 all year long. I like four distinct seasons and people with some character and grit. I'll stay right in New England thank you. Surfing.... meh. I'd rather go skiing.

Portland, OR hands down, without a doubt - and not just bc of the beer, at all.

California, so I'd finally have better access to Russian River and Port Brewing (Lost Abbey)....

Philadelphia is the best location for beer this side of the Atlantic, though I'd have easier, cheaper access to far more of my favorite styles if I lived in Belgium.

If you think it's 85 in San Diego EVER you obviously have never been to San Diego.

Fair enough, that probably should have said 75. Nonetheless... the point remains the same. I have been to San Diego however... beaches are nice. I still like four distict seasons though.

Here. 10 breweries in Bamberg and these 100+ additional ones within a 20 min drive. Within a hour's drive there are probably 200 more.

Understood. I grew up in Michigan and lived in Chicago and DC before Indiana. I would rather go back to the Arizona desert than live in a winter climate. To each his own.

I love being in Chicagoland. I'm home to Goose Island, Revolution, Pipeworks, and Half Acre. I'm easy driving distance to New Glarus and 3 Floyds. Surly is more of a haul, but it's not awful. I'm also easy driving distance to all the great breweries in MI such as Founders, Bells, Dark Horse, etc. We get just about everything from CA that distributes beyond the west coast. The only breweries I really like that I can think of who don't distribute here are Cigar City and Russian River.

I'm pretty content here in the NYC burbs and I'd miss the variety and quality of ethnic foods available here but pretty much nowhere else. I have enough distribution and travel enough to satisfy my day-to-day tastes, enough friends and relatives who travel or live elsewhere so I can get some good stuff from other places, and make mini-road trips north to VT to get the good stuff up there.

I would go to Colorado for the hiking and beer scene--great combination for two of my biggest interests.
