Except Colorado winters are pretty mild, sunny.
We had more than a fair share of days hit 60's in December/January.

I wouldn't leave Fort Collins for anything.
All the good beer I need.

I like where I am. I have easy access to New Glarus, and getting Surly is just a 5 minute drive away. I get almost all the midwest breweries (except 3 floyds), and I get quite a few from around the country. If I had to pick a place to move, it'd probably be Chicago because I would still have access to everything I currently do, plus much more. Or Brussels.

Being in south Jersey, I have access to DE, MD, PA in 60 minutes or less. Back that up with the chance to travel any/all of the east coast, that puts me in range of HUNDREDS of beers! From the Alchemist to Cigar City, wow.

As for the reasons to LEAVE this area, I'll just omit that rant.

While I can't complain about the local beer scene in MA, and while the best beer store in the region is walking distance from my house, and while HT isn't very far, I would love to give Portland a try. Boston has been losing its character for a number of decades now.

San Francisco would be cool too, but the cost of living would crush me flat.

Just moved to San Diego last Wednesday. Visited The Societe, Stone Liberty Station, Pizza Port Carlsbad, Tiger!Tiger!, Toronado's, and The Neighborhood. I'm loving it so much.

+1 San Diego. Stone and BallastPoint are in my top five and I like Port (Lost Abbey).

The good news is that I live in the Bay Area and I usually make it to San Diego every other year...

I'm in DC now, but planning a move to Chicago within the next year. Really excited to get into the scene there. Not relocating FOR beer per se, but it certainly helped Chicago make the 'short list' of places we were interested in moving to.

Now, I am carefully analyzing exactly which neighborhoods would give me best access to the local scene. Looking primarily at Lincoln Square/North Center/Ravenswood area.

Honestly, the beer scene in NC is getting more interesting by the year. I live in a small, Southern town but we have multiple premium beer stores and home brew supply shops. While I feel no need to relocate, I would love to check out the Michigan beer scene.

Yeah that's the problem, lots of good beer spots coming up but no taprooms yet. Hopefully Almanac and Brouwerij West get their own places and move out of Hermitage soon. I know Santa Clara Valley Brewing is eyeing their own place soon. But it dies feel like we're at least 10 years behind SD/SF. But it feels cool to see it growing so fast too.

Beer + location destinations as an avid snowboarder would be

    Colorado
    Northern CA
    Vermont

    Any of those will do.

Ft Collins really impressed me when I visited 2 years ago & it sure sound like it has gotten better since then. I would have to say it impressed me more than any other CO town/city for the total beer package.
