Tried that route, didn't work. My best bet might just be to either cut it or replace it. Thanks all

Yes, cutting it to get it off (vice, putting it ON) is probably the fastest...but as I can attest from rerouting my CO2 today from I/S to O/S my kegerator... either will work depending on the location. Cheers

Cut it off, then cut the 1/2" or so piece that remains lengthwise. Easy-peasy! 1/2" every now and then shouldn't cause a problem. You'll likely replace the tubing before those half inches add up to a significant loss of length.

The problem is that vinyl tubing on a barbed fitting is kind of like Chinese handcuffs. When you pull, the tubing stretches length-wise, causing it to contract width-wise, tightening its grip on the barb.
