Anyone have any ideas on how to remove the labels of the hill farmstead bottles? They're almost some kind of plastic and seem to be a pain to get off in a whole manner. Need to clear out some bottles and I feel they would make some nice coasters. Thanks all

By plastic, do you mean vinyl? I don't have experience with HF bottles/labels, but if they are like a vinyl material you can try to lift back a corner and then slowly peel it the rest of the way. Have a piece of paper close by to use as backing because glue will come of with that label.

If cold peeling doesn't work the alternative is hot pealing. Put a bottle in the microwave for 30 seconds and test a corner to see if it will lift. The bottle will be hot so use a towel to hold that bottle and a knife to start to peel back the corner. If 30 seconds doesn't do the trick, increase the time in the microwave. I have to go 3 minutes with some bottles, but testing your label at different time lengths will be the only way to find out how tough that glue is. Peel slowly or the label will tear.

With vinyl labels all you need to do is fill the bottle up with hot water from your sink let it sit for a few seconds or so to allow the glue to soften up than peel back from a corner slowly and the label will come off! I have done this with plenty of HF, briefly, Kane etc bottles. Cheers

I tried it with one of my extra HF bottles and the microwave method worked perfectly. No idea why i never though of that before.

    thanks all for the advice!
