Remys pappy?

I'm 99% sure it's just a bottle from previous release that they opened What I'm really curious about is when the Vanilla Remy is coming out?

 

it does seem like it's that time again. But until I hear they actually bottled it yet, I'd say the guess that it's the past release's bottle is it.

 

Was at the TAPS in Corona over the weekend and the Remy Pappy as well as Trace of Remy were still sitting in the barrels.

 

I believe last batch came out around February last year. it was pushed back a few months .

 

Correct, 3rd week of February.

 

Spoke to one of the guys at the store last week and he said we might be seeing another pappy release end of the month/ early December and that vanilla probably won't get released until sometime next year.

 

When this is released does it see distribution or is it a brewery only release?

 

It's an el cerrito release only

 

Looks like they posted that they were bottling this in IG. Wanna try and grab one this year

 

Wondering if it will be the same setup as last time (just show up 15 minutes ahead and score 2 bottles)?

 

How many bottles were available last time? Some other stuff I was reading people showed up at like 3 am and were 40th in line. Was that unnecessary?

 

~800 bottles. I believe they said "as long as you're here before 9am you will get bottle(s)". I think it was 9am or 10am. Either way, I arrived around 8:45am and got the ticket number 396. There was 5-10 people behind me. So if there would be 700 people in line it would've been 1 bottle per person. So yeah, showing up at 3am was definitely unnecessary unless you just wanted to have a bottle share over there. I just wish people would clean up after themselves and not leave empty bottles like trophies of some sort.

 

I'm really hoping to get a bottle or two this year. Was the release last year on a weekend?...or...a weekday? Last year was it only 1 bottle per person?

 

Definitely weekend. I'm pretty sure it was Sunday.

 

Thanks!! Hopefully it will be a weekend this year also, can't really afford the vacation day for it. How much warning time did they give before the release last year? Or was it like "Surprise!! We're releasing it tomorrow" kinda thing?

 

Both Trace and Pappy were 2 per person. My GF and I are still kicking ourselves for getting 3 Trace not 4 .

Hope they announce a sale date and not just put it on the shelf like Pappy Board Meeting

 

I think they based the allocation per person on how many people showed up by that cut off time. Then decided how many folks could buy. So yeah, it didn't matter and was pointless to get there really early.

 

The bottles still have to be labeled since they literally just finished bottling them on Monday. Jazz hasn't figured out how he's gonna do the release this time around just yet.
