All, I'm traveling to Reno next week for a convention and will be in town a couple days. Looks like there are a lot of breweries in the area. What would be your recommendations on places that are "can't-miss"? Thanks & cheers!
Go to Craft on Martin street. Great people. Brasserie st James and under the rose are my favorite local breweries. Old bridge pub and the public house usually have decent tap lists, and there are several Bens stores that have decent selection. I usually just go to Craft though, a few taps and a huge bottle selection, including small batch wine and spirits.
If you have a car, FiftyFifty and Tahoe Mountain Brewing are both about 30 min away in Truckee, CA. I just hit up both and really enjoyed them. Tahoe Mountain has lots of good stuff on tap in their Truckee tasting room. Also got to try some BA Eclipse and Annularity variants at FiftyFifty.
Excellent, and yes, will have a car and had FiftyFifty on the agenda. Good to know there's another brewery worth visiting out there. Thanks!
