Sounds like they want to move in a different direction with the space. I thought the heavy table article made the building owners seem kind of like jerks since they weren't willing to work with Republic, but curious to hear other people's takes.
Not sure if the bar was doing well, but if it was, don't totally get why they'd kick them out. They have a hard enough time maintaining occupancy as is.
Well this chaps my bum, I live 2 blocks away, they always had solid selections and happy hour pricing was pretty great. Uptown just lost one of its better if not best craft beer bars
I am very upset with this as well. Best bar in uptown for good beer and good happy hour price. I'll always remember the day I got $4 pours of 8
