    Hey BA,

One of the forum changes you recently made was to reduce the display size of images. I remember when in 2013 you increased the size that images were displayed, it was a revelation. Instead of seeing images that were facebook size you saw into the details of the image - everybody's images looked better. The most active thread on all of BA - WBAYDN is image driven. Folks write a lot of interesting whatever but it is images that drive the thread - reducing the image display size is an unnecessary reduction, for you, in the amount of content you are displaying to the world, and for us, how well we see what we are all drinking.

An opposing argument could be, "well, just click on the image to see it bigger" - the counter is - many times when you click the image you are opening a tab to go to a different website, you leave BA - then you wait while the image loads but only after that site loads whatever it wants to load - the point being it is not fast, it is not efficient and you are letting your readers eyes go to a different website - if you could avoid that why wouldn't you? But, when you display a larger image on WBAYDN it is often large enough you don't need to see it larger - and you are keeping your readers eyes focused on Beeradvocate.

Please consider allowing the image display size to be larger again. Thanks for your consideration and pardon if my words come off as patronizing, it not my intent

Well I can say that I didn't even notice anything changed, so there's a counter-argument.

Also, it may also have been to help with load times on the Mobile App?

I've never had this happen (directed to another site). When I click on any pic in any thread, it gets 75-80 percent larger. I'm always on a pc, so if you might be on a phone, maybe that's different.

    touche !

When an image is a vertical it is not particularly obvious - however the horizontal display size has now been limited to 417 pixels. The most obvious difference is youtube gets 500 pixels so a video will always be wider than an image. An image can be taller than youtube but never wider. So you find in some cases the beer irrelevant youtube video is larger then the entirely relevant photo of a beer.
    cheers to ya

    Hey BA,

Maybe I should have labeled this a feature request as I thought this was the place to communicate with BA. Just wondering if my request is worthy of discussion?
    cheers

Of course it is you who posted this! Your pictures are the best on the site.
I noticed my pictures were smaller. I thought it was my new phone. I too would like the pic size to go back to the larger version.

Locking this down as it no longer applies with the responsive design.
