Perhaps the term "redeemed" isn't appropriate, but we do need a way to let people know that for whatever reason, the 'bad trader' eventually came through with their box or something acceptable.

The threads stay up to let people make their own decisions on how to deal with the people involved in the trade.

How about a default new subject line for "redeemed" bad traders:

Mediocre Trader [insert username] finally sends box

Not sure, but to me it still doesn't justify harassment.

He did provide a tracking number and the box was confiscated by FedEx. Not sure if they returned it to him or not - I didn't speak with FedEx directly.

Harassing someone who is, or has run right up to the border, of being a thief would warrant exposing that person as such in my view. I don't care if it's a box of beer, my bike, my wallet, a $100 baseball bat, whatever. If somebody steals something & I can resolve the problem by embarrassing or shaming someone in front of their social network, you're damn right I'd do it.

Acting like an adult means following through on his responsibilities & promises. He is the one who has failed to act his age here, not anyone trying to lend a hand by exposing his shenanigans.

Ftr, I haven't contacted @Beergeeksa210 on any social media sites or even mentioned him apart from this thread. I'm lazy. I'm busy. It's not really a good fit for me. However, I applaud those who have confronted him with his bad behavior & slimy dealings, provided they did so appropriately.

An honest retelling of what he's done isn't harassment. If that's all that has happened then he needs to check himself & quit whining when words of truth deservedly smack him upside the head. IF that truth is unsettling & unflattering then he oughta live another truth, one he won't mind sharing in polite company.

    @Raj thanks for the info.

@F2brewers @Todd @blue-dream the suggestion made by @atpca to simply state 'Trade Conflict Resolved' is perfect. It's succinct, informative & completely neutral.

Like @atpca , my vote is for resolved. It doesn't indicate that the trades was redeemed, but will show that the issue of not getting the beer (or whatever) has been fixed.

S/he is too busy messing up his beer shipments.

I'd be interested to know what he considers "harassment". I posted his name and links to these threads to multiple social media sites, asking people if they knew him and if so, to contact him to make this situation right. If that's harassment, so be it. It worked - he wouldn't be sending these boxes if all of this hadn't happened.

Agree with "resolved". Is there any way to add a couple simple check boxes to help the other party describe what happened to the greater community. They would obviously have to be the most common issues ("Slow shipper", "Broken bottle replacement", "Poor communication", "Incomplete Shipment", etc.) and then maybe an "other" with the opportunity for a one-line description? Even though I personally would avoid any trader on the wrong end of a "trade conflict", I do think it would be valuable to know what the source(s) of any trade conflict were.

Hence, why count it as "Resolved"? Not anyone from my Austin or SA inner circle knows him but now they do. We won't be slaying whales together that's for sure. I'm in total agreement with @kmello69.

I hope all you hardline bad trader regulators realize that sending a random person who you met over the internet a bunch of beer just because they gave you an internet handshake is not stealing...

I have a feeling maybe 1% of the people on this forum have actually been stolen from in a significant way, hence the insanely childish ends a minority of traders will go to just so they can embarrass someone into sending them whatever IPA of the month they wanted. This in no way reflects the creator of this thread.

@darkfallberg label me obtuse, but I'm not clear on exactly what you're saying. Who are these hardline regulators? In your opinion, what is & what is not stealing, particularly as it relates to beer trading? What insanely childish ends are people going to in order to embarrass people into sending them beer? Exactly who has been embarrassed into sending beer they weren't obligated to send, regardless of style?

With very few exceptions, the circumstances described in these bad trader threads almost always involve wanton neglect that's dragged on for weeks, sometimes months. Damned near everyone avoids starting a bad trader thread for as long as possible.

Original trade: jk nocturn, jk coquetier, two yellow rose
First box: jk lemon/ lime and grapefruit provenance and second box: aurelian lure and two yellow rose

So certainty more than the original trade but of course all the headaches of the bad trader process.

@Raj what you received isn't excessive. I'm not convinced that given everything it's even generous. As someone pointed out earlier, the JK Provenance beers are shelf beers. While tasty, they're not equivalent to Nocturn. I'm not familiar with JK.Coquetier but I think it was brewery only as well. Beergeeksa210 is an all around slick, unsavory trader. Jmo.
