I like that people are allowed to respond again, I think it helps.
However, can we please refrain from the responses to an ISO/FT thread of "would you like this" "how about I give you this"... shouldn't these be confined to BMs "conversations"?

    cheers

All the superfluous replies are part of what caused the boards to become reply only last time.
So, if the community were perhaps able to have the foresight and reduce the amount of extraneous posts we might just keep the boards the same.
    just a thought.

    cheers

Do you really think the person is going to look at their own thread they just posted in and say "oh, he sent me a BM, I should look at it". No, unless they are stupid and completely unobservant they will see in the upper right hand corner they have a message.

They even outlined it in the trading guidelines if you read them.

I hope that threads complaining about ISO/FT practice become BM only...

the " this is never going to happen, i have x beer but i would never give it up for y beer" posts are the worst.

I saw some of the "guy x is a great guy, lets get this done, I'll give whatever from my cellar as well" stuff start too. Some people just never learn.

I wouldn't mind them as much if replies didn't bump the thread each time.

I don't really see the problem with this: having somebody vouch for a trader's credibility is nothing but a positive, and by offering to open one's cellar the poster is making a substantive contribution to the thread.

I agree that the pure "how is this not done yet?!?!?" crap needs to stay out, but as long as the post is neutral about the quality of the offer and only vouches for the trader's past reliability and/or ups the offer, how is it a problem?

We (I'm using that loosely) don't all have trading histories listed yet. Let former traders give others love for awhile.

Which, in my opinion what makes public responses a good thing. I honestly think people can gauge the trade market better this way.
