Resurgence Brewing Co.: Imperial Sponge Candy Stout

    Has anyone had this? I would imagine the answer is yes, but there aren't any reviews on here.

    I had the normal Sponge Candy Stout last weekend, and I absolutely loved it!

    Not much information on it on their website either and by not much I mean none.

    Yes. I'm a huge fan of the imperial version. Not so much of the standard offering. $12/bomber at the brewery. Delicious.

    I've had it. Bought 8 at the brewery, gave a few away as Xmas presents. It's good, but like most of Resurgence's stuff right now, there is room for improvement.

    The brewery does have some aging in bourbon barrels right now, to be released whenever the determine it's ready. i think it is going to be a really good base beer for the bourbon flavor.

    It's alright, a slight improvement on the regular sponge candy. Not great, interested in trying the BBA though

    This is pretty much exactly how a feel about it. In general I like to support Resurgence, but I think almost all of their beers need some work. I'm pretty hopeful that they will dial things in over the next few years.

    I had the regular at the brewery, liked it.

    Was planning on picking up a bomber of the imperial at my local bottle shop and saw it was $12, i laughed and passed. This is not a $12 per bomber brewery, maybe someday...but not right now.
