While I typically only frequent this place a few times a year, it has always been a very positive experience. I'm bummed they are closing, and I'm wondering if the new owners will succeed without the access to great beer that Brendan and Leigh had. I really hope this means that All Weekend Wood will move to one of their other locations, because that's my favorite beer week event.

Not overly surprising considering how many places they are trying to manage.

They do an amazing job running all four bars... like beyond amazing. Each are incredibly successful.. I've heard rumors that they are opening another bar, more tailored to their style. I don't get your response.

They are wonderful people with many great estabishments, im just very aware of how hard it is to deal with all that comes with it and trimming the fat where needed.

They put on great beers all the time at every location, and they must treat their staff well, because their staff is great everywhere and they seem to have very little turnover. And the food is mostly excellent. They execute it better than most.

I've heard the same rumors. I'm guessing their success has made their concept outgrow the tiny space at Resurrection. Kind of a bummer because I love how small that place is, but I'm sure whatever they come up with next will be similarly well done.

Oh hell yeah. I live in W. Philly. That's actually further away from me than Local 44, but still not much more than a short walk. And to be honest, the food menu at Local 44 hasn't been all that thrilling for a while. Looking forward to a different concept of theirs being nearby. In fact, they can just transplant all of Strangelove's if they want, I'd be very happy with that.
