I went to the Motueka Crush 6-pack release. There were probably 10 people in line before they opened up. I think the limit was two 6-packs.

Are you driving up for some other reason? I've thought the Reuben's Crush beers have been okay. I wouldn't come up from Portland specifically for it, at least not based on the first few iterations. But I'm sure you'd be planning on hitting some other spots.

Yeah, I hope you're not driving up solely to stock up on "cases" of juice. The beers are good, but that's kinda crazy to think about.

It's good stuff and if you're gonna be around you should stop in and have some.

i've been to a release, and i ignorantly imagine most folks in Seattle have been to atleast one release, knowingly or not. they seem to release a new beer every weekend. you'll see a minor bump in traffic, but it's nothing unbearable. do HM first, reuben's tap list is deep.

Everything Reuben's does is generally fantastic, definitely worth swinging through irregardless. Triple Crush was on tap as of this last weekend, and pretty damn tasty.

I'm surprised Triple Crush is a Crush beer. It's totally clear.

Nothing wrong with clear beer, but I always figured Crush was being advertised as hazy juice.

I know, which is why I had to say it so people don't think I'm "one of those people."

Before you drive up to Seattle, you might want check with Ben's Bottle Shop in da 'Couve. They carry Reuben's (and Holy Mountain and Mollusk). They're prices are a little high, but it's cheaper than driving to Seattle.

Either you got served the wrong beer, had a different version (which strikes me as unlikely), or one of us needs to have his eyes examined. When I enjoyed it the day of the release, it was plenty turbid. The pictures others have posted online would seem to corroborate that as well.

He's coming to Seattle to visit a friend, and the Crush cans don't leave the brewery.

Huh. Mine wasn't turbid in the least.

Someone probably mispoured. That might be Gobsmacked.

Didn't taste like Gobsmacked. Might have been, though.

With all the fake news and alternative facts floating around these days, just trying to set the record straight in response to your original claim.

If you weren't given a mispour of Gobsmacked, Blimey, or something else, you quite possibly had the only non-turbid pint of Triple Crush that was sampled by anyone. We can at least be confident, given that it was had at Reuben's, that whatever beer it was was good.
