I have a beer that's ready to be bottled atop a nice looking WLP630 cake. I have read at times that you shouldn't reuse wild yeast blends simply because the ratio of bugs to ale yeast are out of whack from the production ratios.

Anybody actually have experience in pouring new wort on top of a yeast cake such as this? If so, what was your experience?

I do not have experience doing this. But I would think you could add a mix of yeast and the cake to try to readjust the blend and shift it back towards where it first started.
