Ideally, I think you should review a brew fresh. If you can, revisit it, and feel free to update your review. As @champ103 noted, just make sure you mentioned it in your review.

Some brews age exceptionally well, but even then, if the purpose of a review is to give someone else an idea as to what they can expect, relatively fresh is the only fair angle.

I go fresh 9/10 times. Plus I lack cellar discipline.

I believe it must be fresh since just a small portion of beer drinkers have the possibility of cellaring in the right way.

Just state before the review where the beer is in it's life. Other than that, who freaking cares. It's a free website.

Since many people just rate beers now instead of a review with words that would explain bottled on or best buy in the prefix of the written review how would we ever know the freshness or vintage

It would be nice if Beeradvocate provided an application showing how rating increases/decreases with time in the cellar.

Thanks for the advice. I won't stash the WW sour then. Basically I think for storing for 12+ mo., I'll set aside my repeats and BW's (whether I've had them or not), but everything else I'll just work through on a first in/first out basis without any further thought about it. I'm about through my Dec 2014 purchased cellar bottles so I'll just keep plugging through them and move into my January buys.

Yeah, I always include the bottling date though lately my reviewing skills have gotten lazy :grimacing:
