I have done a few legacy beer reviews of beers I thought were no longer produced. I have since found some of them to review directly and have changed or updated those reviews. We are talking beers that predate craft beers though.
Otherwise I write during or just after drinking the beer.

Dude, 1/2 of the beers I've had... I haven't had in 5 years or more. I think mine is up to 185? I haven't had a Miller Lite in about 8 years. I can't even rate Falstaff because it went bye-bye in like 2002/3? Hell, I joined this web site because the ratings/reviews about Hauenstein make me laugh my @$$ off!

I only do it for beers that are no longer being produced. Otherwise, if it hasn't been consumed by me in the past year, I don't rate/review it.

Unless you have notes, I don't think reviewing a beer that was drank a while ago is accurate
