Reviewing Breweries with Multiple Locations

    This past week I visited the new(ish) Tree House location in Deerfield, MA - which, incidentally, finally answers the question: what do you do when you have more money than you know what to do with and burning it in fire isn’t fast enough?

    But, to the point, since BeerAdvocate hasn’t entirely abandoned Place reviews yet(?), what is the protocol for reviewing a Place with multiple locations? It doesn’t seem like creating another database listing is a good idea because it’s all the same beer brewed at the same place, at least as of now, although the selection varies. I suppose I could append a separate review to my original Monson or Charlton review but, of course, that wouldn’t affect the numerical rating.

    It’s an idle query because, truthfully, I don’t spend a lot of time on place reviews - although I rely on other BA’s reviews quite a lot.

    I think you need to add it to the database and review your entry because it may have place characteristics that are a different experience from the main location. If it's in the database BA members can then find the place/address when traveling in the new location's city.

    We get new submissions for breweries with multiple locations all the time. Some users will review each location after visiting them and we try to keep all of the beers under one listing.

    We'll eventually be moving to single beer listing for each brewery with associated locations.

    So, just add the location if it's missing and review it if you want to.
