Please do it. A lot of times I'm browsing through ratings of my favorite Texas beers but see no or few reviews from people in our forums. A lot of people complain about out of staters not wanting our beer. Probably because we don't even rate our own beers. I understand doing a review takes time and we try so many different ones. I forgot where I was going with this... In closing, I'm not a Texan, and I don't take much pride in the state, but I am proud of our local beers and I would like to see the BA scores reflect what is discussed in the SW forum. Thank you for your time and patience.
I try to review everything I get from Texas breweries, basically because only a hand few do. Also cause I always enjoy reviewing beers and places. Though, I have really slowed down this last year compared to in the past.
I'm not a great reviewer... but I review honestly... and truthfully the local Texas beers have hung in there with most craft beer I've had from out of state. I try to remember to review every new beer I try.
Ha yeah.. it didn't make a lot of natives probably want to rush out and do reviews... but I did anyway.. apology accepted!
Yep, he always seems to beat me for the first review of a new release, lol. Though lately that has been a lot of other people as well

I prefer to send the beer out of state and insist they review them if they can. I think, personally, that a review from someone in say Chicago or Pittsburg or Portland of our products is much much better than my own and holds more weight than a local. Disclaimer: I don't review yet simply because I have a lot of drinking to do before I feel confident that my opinion is valuable. And I also recognize that many of you go out of the way the provide accurate, honest assessments devoid of 'homerism' so I don't mean to discredit a locals take on a particular brew either.
I must agree. This takes out the extra favoriteisms that might occur when reviewing a home town brewery.
I review the beers I drink... and I don't worry about being an expert... I don't really care if anyone ever thinks I'm an expert.... I just write what I honestly think. It is a very good idea to ask people you trade with to write reviews for the beers... very good point about people outside Texas opinion.
I review almost every Texas beer that I have had because not many people have reviewed them. I believe Texas is one of the most underrated state when it comes to good beer.. God Bless Texas!
