When my hand truck goes missing from my garage and it's clear that my kid is lying to me about the whereabouts, I'll know then that I should've made different life choices.

 

One time, after a night of whiskey and music at union hall, I think, my buddy fell asleep at the bar. The bartender says “uh oh, you better help your friend before the bouncer sees.”

I turn and see a large, burly bouncer walking over to a hand truck. “Hey man, he’s fine, I’ve got him,” I implore.

“Nope. No way. Once the hand truck comes out, I use the hand truck. Law of the hand truck.”

I try to stop him, he pushes me out of the way, lifts stool and friend on to hand truck, and rolls him out the door.

I will never forget the look of surprise on my buddy’s face as he comes to, in transit, to a maniacally smiling bouncer, hurling him and stool both into a dirty alley... “what the f....!” [crash boom splash]

Moral of the story? I can’t remember. I think it is either: The hand truck always wins; or, don’t drink whiskey on an empty stomach.

 

Can confirm. Whiskey > empty stomach.

 

Finally got around to trying Ryeway and Boss Ryeway. @Veliksta1 Rev is doing amazing things. Blown away by both. As a bonus I got to have Vanilla Deth as well and I was amazed.

 

Successfully made it through no booze January. Going to extend this streak until I hit a weight loss goal that isn't particularly close.

The only thing that's really driving me nuts are the VSOJ's in my fridge, lookin' all sexy like Flanders on the slopes.

I had to hide my last 2 cans WAY in the back, but I still know they are there.

Are straight jacket cans still around anywhere is chicagoland?

 

Most of the Binny's locations that I frequent still had them as of yesterday - but they are dwindling down to one or two 4-packs, and a single can or two

 

Binny's on Grand has 42 4 packs right now. Standing in front of them.

 

Rev also has 1/6 barrels for $209

 

Taproom still has a ton as well

 

Patiently waits for his precious tower of SJ to show up down here

Thanks man. It's the one Deep Woods that always seems to take the longest to get down here. My wife threw me a surprise bday party at Rev taproom a few weeks back. 50ish family & friends and many Boss Ryeway variants and Pils later and I "forgot" to purchase some things when we left. Finally got to try Deth by Currants though.
