Was there any thought to calling Honey Jacket Yellow Jacket as someone called it previously in this thread, @Veliksta1 ? I know it's not scientifically correct and you don't want Apiarist Twitter after you, but it would have been kind of perfect.

Yellow Jacket Straight Jacket? Truckers that love Barleywine are in for a real treat.

Ah. Wasn't aware of that bit of drug slang. That would probably answer my question.

Unfortunately any common name or phrase, especially if it has any connection to an ingredient/adjunct in beer, has been taken. There's a bunch of Yellow Jacket beers in existence, but Honey Jacket was open.

Just want to say thanks for the love you've been showing your distributor to the Lafayette, Indiana area. I wouldn't have expected to see a keg of Jamo-nilla on draft at The Pint, but damn, it makes a wonderful surprise.

Thanks! Our Indiana distributors are fantastic partners and will always get a tone of barrel-aged love

I want to echo his thanks as well. I live on the other side of the state (Fort Wayne) and I was easily able to grab code switch, reg deth, cafe deth and straight jacket cans. Also, the best local craft bar, Deer Park, got kegs of DBVSOD and VSOD 17. Really appreciate the love for indiana!

Imagine my surprise. So I did the most original thing I could do....add a “1”.

No, it's vicodin_tears issue they didn't add the '1' on the end when creating their name. In my mind, vicodin_tears is #2 as '1' is taken.

Stoked drinking a 2017 Deth's Tar from by stash.

Sad I have one less for the future.

Had a Mikerphone's (Smell's Like Teen Spirit) and Mikerphone/More (Vanillanoize) from my stash, celebrating early retirement this weekend with two weeks to go!!!

Having trouble gauging the Midlife Crisis release cluster potential.

On one hand, I've been to as many of the past two years of Deep Woods releases as I could (and followed this thread for the others) and it seems to have gotten significantly crazier, even apart from the frigid stroller incident. That increase in hype plus what sounds like will be a very limited quantity of interesting variants of a widely acclaimed BA beer suggests this will be a huge cluster.

On the other hand, the beers are barleywines, not stouts, and it's on a mid-summer weekend. The latter point is what's really tricky--if the weather is nice I'd be very conflicted between waiting in line versus, say, going to the beach, or for that matter any number of enjoyable Chicago summer activities that aren't waiting in line.

    Thoughts?
