Stopped by beer temple to try boss jacket and really glad I did, as I thought of maybe trying to grab some.

Aftee grabbing a pour though, I’ll gladly skip the time and $40 it’s gonna cost. It’s fine, but I like regular straight jacket more.

I've decided to go a different route this time. Showing up at 4pm, going straight into the taproom and not waiting in line.

If, after actually trying VSOD or Boss Jacket I decide one or both is so magical that I find I MUST have a 4 pack, I'll take my dumb-ass to the black market & overpay for it.

Friday afternoons are too precious to stand in line in the cold anymore, methinks.

Finding out boss hog was in apple brandy barrels also got me all kinds of excited, and was the one thing I thought could make me want to pay $40. But I’m so happy it’s just “real good” and as good as another beer.

VSOD, Ryeway, & Boss Jacket will be on tap at the Brewpub starting at 11, so you have more time in the afternoon you could try them prior to 4pm.

This is the kind of info I come here for...I can have a leisurely lunch at the brewpub, try the main 3 there, and then come ready for "rare whalez" action at the taproom at 4pm.

    Thanks, kind Advocate!

I’ll be the Debbie downer, but I totally think to-go line should be alcohol free. If you want to drink go to the bar.

Also, though I wasn’t that impressed with Boss Jacket, Ryeway is dope AF.

Anyone know if/which previous releases are still available in cans at the taproom? Would be happy to grab Cafe Deth if it’s not long gone. Thanks

The brewery draft list includes to-go availability (https://revbrew.com/visit/brewery/tap-room-dl). It looks like Cafe Deth is still around, along with the standard Deth, SJ, and Plums. (Also, if you enjoy coffee beers, don't sleep on the Coffee Eugene.)

Saw a second drop of Cafe Deth around Chicago stores as well...Bottles & Cans, for example, just got a bunch this week. Deth by Plums as well, for that matter!

Hell, most stores by me still have stacks from their first drop. Grabbed a 4 pack of tar tonight actually. So nice that this beer is so abundant.

You’re not a Debbie Downer, you’re someone that respects a reputable business.

At least last year, it seemed that the reputable business approved of getting drinks at the bar and returning to line. They even come to the line and pour drinks. Just looking for clarity on what their expectations and rules are.

Question: If I wasn't able to get there tonight until 6pm (due to work), do I even stand a shot at getting VSOD/Ryeway? This would be my first Revolution release so I am just trying to know what to expect. Thanks.

It's tough to know. Your best bet is to monitor the thread & Rev social media updates up until then if possible. The two have a limit of 4 per person and I would guess not everyone is going to get the full allotment on each of these so I think you have a chance on these two. Ryeway is hitting limited distro so there's that route to consider at least for that one. Good luck

Yeah I'd be shocked if Ryeway sold out given that Café, DT, SJ, and Plums did not. I'd think VSOD and Boss sellout today. I'll arrive around 5 and am hoping for the best but I think it'll be close

Not a total apples-to-apples comp, but I lined up at 5pm for VSOR last month and was among the final few to get any (at limit 2pp). Considering VSOD and Ryeway are limit 4pp they clearly made a whole lot of it and I doubt many people will max out on those limits.

    So I'm saying there's a (good) chance!

I might like another 4 pack of Cafe Deth, but Jesus I've got some drinking to do after the last month, and especially after whatever I buy today...
