Hope the cans at the brewery remain until I return home on Christmas.

Brining in La Villa pizza and a group outing the Saturday after Christmas. A few kids will be among the group. A perfect way to end 2019 and celebrate Revolution’s awesomeness.

So if I only can only get one, do I do Straight Jacket or Ryeway?

pls don't respond with the "why not both" gif, my family is starving

I'm probably not the best person to answer this since the Rye family has never blown me away, but I'm an SJ guy if you're trying to choose between the two.

I expect a lot of people on this thread will disagree, given the feedback I've seen about Ryeway.

I rated both the same 4.5 on Untappd. Would maybe give slight edge to Ryeway only because off memory it was a more notable flavor profile with the pepper note from the rye. Either is damn good and you won't lose regardless of selection.

Straight Jacket for me too - but you really can't go wrong here.

Haven't had the most recent SJ batch (2019 b2) but ‘19 Ryeway is significantly better than 2019 b1 SJ.

Going back to the line share.

I mainly dislike line shares because once the word gets out that releases have bottle shares, they become all day affairs, as people then have no qualms about hanging out for 3.5 hours if they can chill and drink. It turns beer releases into a party and more difficult for anyone that wants to show up and buy some beer.

I don’t know why waiting for beer becomes a makeshift outdoor bar.

Bottle shares are tons of fun. You meet new people, make new friends, get to give away pours of your favorite beers, get pours of others favorites. Some of my all time highlights of this hobby have been bottle shares.

I may have read over it, but does anyone know if legal hero will be a taproom only release or will it see distro?

Perfect Segway. I just got a notification for that thread. Appears someone may have tested at least one of the beers and had it come out to 2.5% ABV, not 8%.

The universe knew to have that notification pop up at the same time I was checking this thread.

It’s coming out in the 16oz 4-packs which have been taproom only so far

They've distro'd DDH Mosaic Hero and the Hop Butcher & St Errant colloborations so it might just depend on how much they brew. But yeah, they've confirmed on the FB that Legal-Hero is a smaller batch and is taproom/pub only.

Legal-Hero is very small, taproom/Pub only, but all of our others have seen distro except Freedom of Expression (Hop Butcher collab, Saint Errant collab, DDH Mosaic-Hero)
