    Decisions, decisions...

With this weather, parking should be the biggest obstacle, not crowd size. I purchased cans at 5:30 with few people behind me, they had plenty of SJ left (BJ was available as well, but they ran out later) and also cans from the November release which possibly are still available as well.

My favorite offering yesterday tapped out (DB VSOJ Cherry). For the offerings which may be available today, I'd rank as follows:

    1. Penitent Man (very balanced and smooth, excellent pour).
    2. Cursed Man (strong but smooth whiskey taste, somewhat creamy mouth feel).
    3. Double Barrel Boss Jacket (ABV hidden, really gets you later as beer warms, not as balanced as other offerings).
    4. Boss Ryeway Select (Mellow, smooth, nice blend).
    5. Boss Jacket was OK, but wouldn't seek another.

A Little Crazy is my favorite offering among the regular options, Mean Gene is definitely worth checking out if moved from "on deck" to "on tap" status.

    Stay safe out there.

Beware FIB’s! This is WI code for: “Gonna ply you with blackberry brandy ‘til you black out and then dead-horse ya.”

I know, it's like at closing time taking home the only person left at the bar...

Easily the best batch of variants to date, Cuvee and Cursed Man are superb.

I'm a pretty happy panda right now. Buddy hit Rev up at opening and grabbed me some variant crowlers for a birthday present (next weekend). I sense a barrel aged birthday hangover in my future. Thanks for putting these on to go @Veliksta1 as I'm pretty certain most (all) don't survive until next Saturday night. As noted above.

That makes me wonder if I was sitting next to your buddy. He was getting stuff for himself and some friends.

I normally have passed on Rev’s BA crowlers due to the $35 price tags, but these were too good to pass up. I’m not sure which of Cursed Man, DB Boss Jacket or Boss Ryeway Select are my favorite, but I intend to find out with some heavy research! They are fantastic beers.

I would say it's as good as usual, maybe a little more traditional caramel than the butterscotch bomb that it was last year, but still excellent, complex, and balanced.

Anyone seen the new SJ around, or know that it’s expected in, Chicago proper this week?

Did it seem like there was a lot (i.e. enough that I can grab a 4-pack after work)?
