So, as much as I love Cherry, I’m on my second can of honey and am not at all a fan. I have another full 4 pack, if anyone so missed out on them, happy to pawn this one off. I’ll gladly take your scotch BA variant for this.

Just stopping by to say how impressed I am with this year's DW lineup so far--Thundertaker, regular ol' Deth, and DBC are each legit homeruns, IMO--and we haven't even reached the stuff I was "on paper" most excited about.

Really, after Thundertaker being (to me) a top 3 Deep Woods beer, it's all gravy from here. Huzzah!

If anything, I thought last year's Straight Jacket was slightly below their usual quality.

If they just adjusted to the mean, I'm sure this year is a stunner. Can't wait to crack one.

So I completely unexpectedly stumbled across Deth by Cherries at a shop here in WI tonight. Love fruit stouts, have never had it, and couldn't pass it up, but tell me on a scale of 1 to 10 how bad I got ripped paying $11 for a single can? 4 packs were $42 on the shelf but I ain't got that cash on Black Friday/kid birthday/partner anniversary week.

0, it’s $40/4pk at the brewery, plus tax.

Curious if anyone has tried all the syrups so far. I'm thinking about buying a bottle to use as sweetener for a batch of eggnog and looking for opinions.

I’ll give you a VSOJ if you sleep in my yard for a night in a YakTent.

happy Thanksgiving, ya turkeys. I appreciate you all, and I’m thankful for your banter, your intel, your kindness, and the community in general. It’s been a tough, tough year, and somehow you’ve all made it a little bit more manageable. Cheers!

Damn I thought I was paying a huge markup over the Straight Jacket and Cafe Deth sitting next to it at $25-30 per 4 pack. Why the hell is cherries so expensive? I'm happy to finally try it but day-ahm that price hurts a bit.

I LOVE the convenience of the cans, but I do think they hurt perception of value a little bit. $1/oz puts this in the range of $20 bombers, and there are plenty of stouts in that bracket that aren’t adjuncted or even barrel-aged.

I have only had the Deep Woods version and it was quite good. If I come across the deth by cherries one, Im going to grab it.

I'm a HUGE Rev fan, and we only buy real maple syrup in our house at prices far less than $1/oz. But $13-$15 for 8oz is a bit much, and the cherries version is $18 and I don't have the budget for it after my beer purchases.
    But Xmas is coming...

The Chicago Maple folks seem really decent. Their base maple is great and they have a coffee variant that is outstanding. They donate syrup for the PTO pancake breakfast fundraiser at my kids’s school, so I’m fine paying a bit more to support them. Might have gone a bit overboard this yea, though, with the different Rev versions. #syrupadvocate

Sweeter than last year. I kinda liked the "booze" on the last '19 I had last week.

Totally understand, but for me, I only buy one or two bottles a year and save it for me to eat or for cooking. For instance I used the deep woods maple syrup in my butternut squash soup for today and it worked so nicely.
