Thanks, great list. Would be interested to see it updated with release day limits and if it sold out on first day.

Same! First deep woods release I’ll be at. Just coincides nicely with driving up to see a band.

Always important to remember that if you even sip a beer while in line, you are a piece of shit and you will ROT in hell. Also, all rev employees actually hate you, but they are just being really friendly with you and talking to you about the beer you're drinking because they want your money.

can anyone from Rev comment on the letting people inside before 4 policy for this release? I know that they had a lot of issues for the second release so they didn't do it for the last one... but it was also unseasonably warm last time so I'm not sure if they will go the same route this time.

I think Beforefour is Baphomet's right hand man.... or a former Backhawks goalie...

If the craft beer crowd were more creative, the line smokers would get together with the line drinkers and just put some Deth Tar into a vape capsule and they both could get their fix in line....

I was waiting until the draft only tap list was posted to determine if I was gonna go to this week's release right away. Looks like I'll definitely be there at 4.

@Jagrmaister from the FB event page:

Here's the draft variant list for Friday -- thanks for hanging tight for this supremely cool lineup.

Project Sanctuary #20 - Dumb All Over
(or Double Barrel VSO Boss Deth Jacket with Coffee & Roasted Walnuts)
    15.6% ABV - Single Barrel

This one-of-a-kind cuvée selected by Cellarman Andy Lautner is 70% WhistlePig Boss Hog Armagnac barrel-aged Straight Jacket and 30% Jack Daniel's barrel-aged Deth's Tar aged for one and two years respectively before being blended and aged an additional 20 months in a single Heaven Hill bourbon barrel. At once dry and bracingly boozy, the past 3-4 years of evaporation have concentrated the malt structure yielding a smooth, sweet sipper with notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, and oak.
Oh yeah -- and we put a bunch of coffee and walnuts in there too.

    No Journey Psychouts
Double Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout with Vanilla
16.5% ABV - Single Barrel - Single Keg

This begrudgingly nuanced Imperial Stout was aged in bourbon and Irish whiskey barrels and finished in a single 15-gallon Journeyman Rye barrel with whole Bourbon vanilla beans.

    Olde Very Mad Cow
    Barrel-aged Imperial Milk Stout
    9.7% ABV

The first beer ever released as part of the Deep Wood Series makes a cameo with this two-year variant we've been hanging onto for a couple two-tree years. Lactose offers just enough sweet balance for the oak and bourbon in this otherwise restrained example.

    Cuvée de Triomphe
Blended Sour aged in Wine Barrels
    8.0% ABV

This approachable sour ale was aged in a pair of Tawny Port and Madeira wine barrels for one year with Brettanomyces. A touch of Freedom of Press cuts the funk and French oak tannin while providing a gentle lactic acidity.

Yep. I want to be Dumb All Over. Won't make it by 4, but hopefully I'm there soon enough to try one or two of these. I'm not confident with the savagery of it all.

Since no one responded, I went and did the heavy lifting. Fact we are sometimes funny, yet always insufferable bunch.

Plums didn't sell out. VSOD didn't sell out day of. Looks like Boss Jacket sold out at 8:11pm. VSOR sold out about 6:30ish pm.

This definitely has potential to be a different sort of release, with only two new beers in cans, neither of which is a stout, and one of which will be seeing limited distro. I'm looking forward to picking up some Baphomet at the same time.

Also, I know @BeerCruncher noted that stocks are getting perilously low, but I'll note that VSOD is still available (and Plums). I was in town with friends from North Carolina for a concert last night, so I took them to the brewpub for lunch and got a couple more 4-packs for myself, along with some Legal Hero and a crowler of the Quiet Quad (don't sleep on that, it's good).
