interesting take, the first bale movie? curious why it was so awful.

not fully versed in the bruce wayne origin story.

of all the "trilogies" you could have chosen, this was an odd one to me.

nothing will ever top the season of the witch, btw

Nah, first two Bale flicks were awesome. I'm talking about the 3rd Bale flick. Terrible.

Serious question - I like the new Cuvee, but does anyone else get the hint of oxidation that I’m getting from it? On second can from two different 4-packs (first can was a couple weeks ago), and they both tasted slightly oxidized.

I did not notice, but that being said, have the beers that went into cuvee been left in barrels longer than their component counterparts that have previously been released? Is possible.

I feel you here. Not sure that's oxidation though, I think that's the rum barrels talking to you. Everytime I drink a rum BA beer, I get hints of that cardboard oxidized flavor. I've just chalked it up to not really caring for rum BA beers at this point.

I hit up the taproom as my first indoor, public activity last night. Super safe, super spaced out, very nice vibe. I was a bit embarrassed when they recognized me as the guy who ordered 5,000 Deep Woods Mystery Bags over quarantine, but the staff was awesome.

I had the Cognac Barrel On & On. I liked the original On & On more than most on here, I think, for reference. Whereas I found the Rye barrels a perfect foil for that, the Cognac dominates here, and the finish is boozy.

I still really liked the silky, smooth mouthfeel and as it warmed chocolate & oak notes emerged, but overall it was a "good, not great" beer for me. If you order it, you get the On & On glass included, FYI.

Was it equally embarrassing when they served your stout in a 32oz glass and gave you the solo doming wink?

It doesn't. I was hopeful VSOJ would improve too. I've had 14 cans so far over the past few years and none have lived up to the few I drank fresh.

Two left. I'm not expecting either of them to be the five star BW I checked in on Oct 27, 2018.

If I get any this time around, my goal will be to consume most of them in 3-4 months.

I think @miniditka77 was actually stating that if this new release is better than the last one they canned, he'll be buying a lot of it.

    I could be wrong, though.

His comments were batch to batch differences, not a time difference within the same batch. I don't disagree with your comments on BA beers in general. I figure the brewery is releasing a beer when they want the consumer to drink it, particularly a brewery of the quality like Rev, so I do my best to drink it as soon as I can.

Managed to snag a single can of Cuvee which was nice (from Beer on the Wall if anyone else is looking for a single). Anything Deep Wood seems to always be a home run for me but this stout season was murder on my wallet so it's nice to go this route instead of the $45 four pack once in a while. Will probably drink it this weekend.

Was at the taproom yesterday and thought you nailed the cognac on and on. Still worth a try though very enjoyable. CDG 2021 on tap was incredible
