Wow it is packed at the taproom. Glad normalcy has returned!

Checking in from the east coast. Small spot in East Boston, new to me spot, got kegs of VSOJ, strawberry jacket, and supermassive cafe deth.

I had a half day so I had time. l’m throughly enjoying a few pours of VSOJ. Stunner of a beer. Burnt caramel and brown sugar, prune. Leather. Dry. Never had many of my favorite barleywines on draft so this is beyond a treat.

Passing on the other two offerings. Reasonable prices too, $9 for 10 oz. across the board.

I was a the GR event as well and couldn't believe it wasn't busier. With the event starting at 5pm, I got there at 4:45 & was shocked to be only the 3rd or 4th person in the bar but it was nice to have everything in a relaxed atmosphere.

Love this batch of VSOJ, the Strawberry Jacket has SO much strawberry this time & supermassive tastes like a cold brew with no cream in it to balance it out

Just left the taproom - crowded but room to move and service at the bar was SO quick. Boss VSOJ, what a treat! And pickup of my order on the way out was easy as could be.

Rev continues to raise the bar on how these releases are handled, I feel lucky to have them so close to home.

Stopped at Rev. Variants are great. VSOJ was incredible on draft. Boss VSOJ was the best. XOJ was great in small amount, but was hit with palate fatigue halfway through 5oz pour. As always... Revolution is a class act!

Passing on Supermassive is a mistake.

Fuuuuuckkkkk. Kevin, don’t do that to me. I should have consulted with the experts. Per the establishment, vsoj, was going to kick first so I made sure to get my fill. Event kicked off last night. Maybe supermassive survives the weekend and I can snag one.

If you had to pick one, VSOJ is the right choice.

Yeah, you really gotta love coffee when it comes to Supermassive, which I do and it's damn delicious, but it's explosivo.

I didn't mean that as a slight against Supermassive at all. I love it, fantastic beer. But VSOJ is special and in another category.

Decided to go with a strawberry jacket tonight and I’m very happy. Still a wonderful jammy jacket.

VSOJ is a rockstar again, to no one’s surprise. That was my first pour and it delivered big time.

I also tried Unmitigated Audacity and XOJ. UA was really solid. The nose wasn't as strong as I thought it would be, but the cocoa coffee came in gradually and was really good.

I thought XOJ was insanely good. Just full on, in your face barleywine concentrate. However, any larger amount would require sharing, IMO.

And, per usual, the Rev crew ran things super smooth. They crushed it.

You're all good man! As @P739397 mentioned, if only time for one, VSOJ is the correct answer.

Boss VSOJ was dynamite and XOJ was really good as well. Was super nice to be back at the taproom for a big release.

That said, if you are the older guy who sucker punched someone and kept trying to start a fight, you're an absolute piece of shit and I hope you got kicked out and banned from the taproom. Human trash.

You know it's going to be a great event when the owner (Josh Deth) is out putting on the Over-21 wristbands at 11:50am and you've seen no less than 10 people you know before you even get into the place - LOL!

@BeerCruncher was around and he told me that in the past the yield from the variant casks always vary - you never know exactly how much you will get. So those variants that kicked super-fast in the past are not only special ones, but they only had one 1/6 barrel to tap, or maybe two.
This time around it seems the demand for the 3 variants are pretty similar, and they had eight 1/6 barrels of each, so he was certain they would be around on Saturday (today).
Rev confirmed that today in a post that all 3 would be on draft at open, though mentioned Unmitigated Audacity (you know, the Supermassive Cafe DB VSOD) did kick last night. I assume that is because they limited it yesterday to make sure they have some today.

All the beers are great - let them warm up and savor them! Once back in the 'burbs last night, we shared cans of VSOJ and Supermassive with friends, as they were meant to be.
Now we'll see how long we can make them last... CHEERS!
