Friday.

 

No Thundertaker for me. I guess I shouldn’t have waited at my computer since 9am.

 

I actually can’t recall the last time I missed out on a beer release. That kinda takes me back to 2014 when KBS would sell out in a heartbeat. Those were the days.

 

Will there be variant drafts held back for those of us visiting on Saturday? I remember that being a thing at a couple of the release weekends I’ve been to.

 

By the time I checked at 5:13PM, both the Thundertaker and Coconut Deth sold out. Looking like this year won’t be quite so easy for just grabbing any Deep Wood four pack after pre-release sale starts. Hopefully others will be able to get in distro. Season Ticket saved my ass already.

Surprised how quickly Coconut went out. Went back about 20 after my Thundertaker order to succumb to an extra Coconut and poof! Maybe because of the distro allocation. Spicy start to the Deep Woods season! Glad I'm a season ticket holder if this is a look into things to come!

 

Yeah, I don't have the best sightline but glad to be in the venue. Looking forward to opener.

 

@BeerCruncher , any chance you’ll be selling 1/6 barrels of coconut deth or thundertaker? I struck out on getting a 4-pack so figured I’ll shoot for (13) 4-packs. And my keg of vanilla deth just kicked

When do we hear about specialty crowlers for the VIP Season Ticket holders?

My credit card still has room...Or will this be more of a Rev Thunderdome event where two men enter, one man leaves with the crowler?

 

I was in the taproom this weekend and asked the staff if they knew anything about crowlers. They said crowlers might be available after the weekend if there's stuff left over but no guarantee. I wouldn't count on it unless there's more info to come.

 

Damn.....kiddos TBall distracted me tonight(picture day!). By the time I checked order page everything was sold out.....bummed as I really wanted to try these ones!

 

Rev posted earlier that Binny's will have it on Friday, and @BeerCruncher agrees above!
With that definitive of an answer, I'll bet they are being delivered this week, so I'll be at Binny's early Friday since the Gods of the interwebs flummoxed my phone at 5pm today...

This is hilarious. People can’t get a 4pk, and we have someone asking if a 1/6 will be available.

I’ve had some pretty cool kegs on tap at my house, but damn this is next level

 

only reason I ask is because they’ve typically sold 1/6 barrels of all their deep woods beers in the past including thundertaker and the fruited deth beers. Figured it was worth a shot!

This is true. There have been a few bangers where the cans sold out instantly, but they had sixtels of the same beer available.

 

@BeerCruncher are VIP able to pick up allocations tomorrow?

For those who may have missed out on preorders, Rev posted the following on social media:

If you missed out on Deep Wood Series preorders, we'll have a limited amount of Coconut Deth, Lumberstruck, and Thundertaker available on Friday at the Brewpub (2323 N. Milwaukee). The Pub will open at noon on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of four-pack of each beer. We'll also have all three of the release beers on tap at the Pub two hours before the Taproom release begins.

 

coconut deth and lumberstruck kegs are on the toast site. $261 coconut, $231 lumber. What a country!

 

I was wondering why the guy was getting dragged for asking about kegs just because a canned beer sold out.

 

Doesn't matter, the line is already 300 deep with a day and a half to go.

I'm on Team Deth's N' Roses, but damn if those don't all sound fabulous.

 

That and Double Barrel Thundersauce, definitely what I'm headed for.
