    Cheers to season tickets holders!

Coming off of having a stellar pour of Brew 6K the other day. Rev and Fremont should do a collab and explore the infinite self of BA barleywine domination.

The last 3-4 ounces of that VSOJ b2 at room temp are such a glorious thing to all senses. One of those beers that you truly don't want to end.

Had a cuvee of Deth by Raspberries and 2021 SJ. That really works!

For sure, never had a bad barleywine from Rev. Just not sure what to expect from those barrels. I've had some wild ales from white wine barrels that I've liked, but never anything out of a red wine barrel.

On a different note, really missing Supermassive right now. It was tasting wonderful even 8 months after the original release. Hopefully it's back next year

I've had a handful of red wine barrel aged stouts and enjoyed most of them. (anyone remember Moa?) Can't remember having a red wine barrel aged barleywine, but I completely trust Rev to do it.

Brasserie Noir from GI was way better than I expected. Napa Parabola also very good. Don't recall any BWs getting the red wine treatment either.

And I am excited for this beer. It's unique. Which in today's barrel aged world of throwing the GD kitchen sink into beers (yawn), this is a left hand path. Considering Rev's prowess for blending sweet and dry components, I expect this to be good. I don't know jack about wine, but when I've mentioned the Saxum name to my friends that do, they've all had similar eye brow raising reactions (in a good and curious way).

I have had a few red wine barrel aged barleywine. I would have to dig through the archives to provide better details of specific beer names. Fox Farm Copestone immediately comes to mind; it gets the double barrel treatment in bourbon and port barrels. I also love port barrel aged stouts. So for me bring on the red wine barrels they are good spirits to age barleywine & stout in! Especially when Revolution is at the Helm! They are the barrel aged barleywine experts in America.

I've had that one - great beer - I guess I wasn't even thinking about port wine barrel aged beers ... I was just thinking more traditional red wines.

Port wine is my favorite red wine barrel for barrel aging beer because it's like the stout of the wine world. And yes, Revolution is probably going with a traditional red wine barrel & not port barrels because they most likely would have denoted the red wine barrel as a port barrel if it was aged in port barrels.

I tried the BA Wolf Point from them previously that was aged in Maple Deth barrels. Too sweet for my liking but that was mainly the adjuncts used in the mead itself, not the barrel treatment I think. A cherry mead aged in SJ barrels I’d try for sure though.

Loved it as well from the one bottle I had back in 2019. I wanted a metric fuck-ton of it.

Parabola is/was one of my all time favorite beers, FW pulled out of Mass a couple, few years back, and I thought Napa was a wonderful treatment.

Wish I would've known this as my Binny's has been clearing out FW boxed stuff at $4.99/bottle, and that has included 19-21 Parabola. Think it's all gone now though.

Good call on Copestone. It's a great beer. Another one I thought of, but have not had or own one, is A Deal With Evil (collab with Evil Twin and Anchorage). That has a red wine aged component to it.
