Currently in love with the big snifter from a handful of years ago (not the brandy snifter). Idk how to upload a pic.

 

I use the glass @77apm provided pics of. I also really like the glass from the VSOJ b2 release...too lazy to post pics right now. My favorite non-Rev utility glass is the oversized tulip from Duvel.

Did you get SJ on distro, or sent to you? I'm about 2-2.5 hours south of Chicago. Despite getting every other Rev DWs within a week or two of release, the last 3 years or so, whatever is released with Ryeway is delayed by months. Last year we didn't get Ryeway at all. It just never came. I was told we won't get SJ until Feb for this release. Other surrounding areas downstate get it in the usual time. For example, SJ has already come and gone where @Jinx989 lives less than an hour to the west of me. I see trader partners getting distro of it in WI and OH already. It's weird. And it happens every year. Guess I'll just have to seek out some SJ when in the city this weekend if I can find it.

Sorry for the first world problem speech. I just want some SJ in my life. End rant.

 

Distro on SJ and Ryeway. Those were actually here at my buddy’s local shop in MA before Rev even released them.

I saw SJ here for the first time today. Ryeway was not in attendance unfortunately.

 

Why not add MN and MA to the list. Where else has SJ been distributed to but my town at this point? It's gotta be something with the distributor. It's so weird that it's only the Ryeway release each year, but none of the other DWs.

Have they announced where the Jan. preview parties are going to be?

 

I was hoping we would get one down here in B/N but haven't yet this DW season so fingers crossed we will this time but not holding out much hope.

 

we get them in P-town but i don’t ever recall glassware being sold..

 

When we've had Rev events in CU the rep just gives stuff away. We may have to do a central IL meet up in the middle someday with @Jinx989 ....

 

i guess i should clarify: things are so lax (nice say of saying “ass backwards” in Peoria) that i usually attend the preview parties 24-48 hours after they actually happen.so, i probably miss any giveaways.

let’s def make that meet up happen!

 

WE have had them in the past but one of the places has closed since then, and glassware and crowlers to go were available at the ones we did have.

 

At Orange & Brew in Downers Grove? I just might be going there on Thursday since I cannot make it into the city on Friday.

 

What the heck @flat_lander - cannot find Straight Jacket near you? That's a damn crime!
It is still widely avaialble in the Chicago area and at the taproom, so you'll get some when you're up here.

And WOW - 8 different Deep Wood beers still available at the taproom, along with new releases of Coffee Eugene and Baphomet - Merry Christmas to us all!

Shame ryeway is out. Nothing on tavour and the spots in New England that got it previously near friends of mine didn't get it this year.
