I think it’s more testing out the BCBS model where you pay more for less to see how viable
it is. Are you better off moving less beer at a higher profit margin?

That's not the impression I got at all. For years people have asked for variant crowlers and Doug consistently explained they weren't ideal from a quality, labor, and loss perspective. I think the stovepipes are a great compromise, satisfy the other frequent ask of an option for singles, and I'm ok with the $0.50/oz premium. Keeping them "optional" and outside of the Season Ticket is a great move too, in my opinion.

For the record, I bought the mocha variant since I was confident, but not Stoopermassive since it sounded iffy. I'll gladly still try it on draft though.

And if you prove you can consistently sell Deep Woods for a .50/oz premium, why wouldn’t you switch your whole DW line to that?

It's too early to speculate meaningfully, but I'm not that worried. I don't see any issue with providing low, mid, and higher cost options commensurate with production effort and availability. The current offerings, supposedly more limited than what they typically package, are still available today. My math was based on the $40 variants, which often sit around for months. Rev knows this, and they'll keep setting prices accordingly.

Their latest post on their FB event make mention of draft only variants, but what are the variants?

The way that the Season Ticket will work this year is there will be one 19.2 included, which will be the one that everyone will want most. All other 19.2s will be optional with a pre-sale link for season ticket holders. I could have included them all and boy does that help us predict quantities better, but then the advance price of the ticket would climb to levels that I'd rather not ask of you all in June. Make sense? Sound fair?

Sounds great. With the quality and pricing of these beers, I'll personally be signing back up for these season tickets in whatever format you guys run them for as long as you decide to do it. Great value, great beers and and fun concepts consistently.

Most of us neckbeards will buy it anyway if all we're included... @BeerCruncher what kind of damage are you talking here?

If they do 1 or 2 a release and have what, 4-5 releases at $25 a pop, you’d be looking at an extra $100 to $250

could you have two tiers of season ticket holders? One is the "standard" with just the one can and then a "VIP" (or some other marketing nonsense) tier that includes all of them? Would that help you guys better predict the quantity of beer?

Okay, but with that you lose any rights to complain about inflation’s effect on consumer goods or the economy.

Was browsing RevBrew.com and see there’s plans for DDH Riwaka Hero later this year. If it’s as good as Nelson hero, I’m going to be a happy man. Rev always does a great job finding supporting hops to help the feature hop shine the brightest. Been that way for a long time now, since the DDH series wasn’t even hazy
