I would kill for a 4 pack of Quinze or Thundertaker Express. Maybe just a single can of Chocolate Strawberry Jacket

I wish Quinze was the packaged beer & the cherry version was the tap only variant. Sadly, the actual experts at Revolution never asked me (an idiot).

Although I agree, 10 Year was one of my favorite Rev beers of all time.

Anyone else thrown off by the Cherry in XV beer? I didn't notice it in the description at first, but now that I do, I'm not sure that I feel excited about it anymore. I'm sure it's balanced to an extent, but the cherries might still take away from some of the barrel and beer nuance.

Ten year beer had cherries too and was fantastic, so not worried

Like @HawksBeerFan said. Did you ever have X? I was also leery of X when it was announced, but it's in the short list of my favorite Deep Woods beers of all time. It was done so nicely. And I'm not a big, "Cherries in my BA beer" guy.

Made it to a Deep Wood preview night at Freedom Brothers Pizzeria and Alehouse just 20min from my house. Strawberry Jacket was pretty much like before (good) and 15 Year Beer Cherry Amburana (very good!). And their Neopolitan style pizzas are awesome!
There was disppointment that they only announced today those were the only two Deep Wood beers on draft, since many were looking for Thundertaker as well, but we know we'll see that in cans soon!

Got a nice surprise when I stopped by Binnys after work today and saw Thundertaker on the shelf. Obviously had to have a super fresh can and it's very good. Seems very chocolatey compared to other Rev stouts I've had. Missed out on the last iteration of this so can't compare. Looking forward to the other stuff I ordered online today.

Someone on untappd said "too much chocolate", which got me very excited. How could that be a bad thing?? Thundertaker gonna be the underdog of this release, I absolutely loved the previous releases. It's like Deth's Tar on crack.

Scene update 2: Quinze & Thundertaker were my clear favorites.

My buddy was waxing poetic over XV Year Beer as his fave.

Personally, 15 year didn't live up to 10 year for me, but only had one pour.

That said, Quinze was awesome, I think maybe the cherry level was just a little more intense this time than last time.

Still a great beer and rally enjoyed Thundertaker Express too.
