I'm in agreement with what most have said, well run event last night. Got there around 5:30-40, which was probably peak time, and waited about 20-25 minutes to get in. Lines for bottles and pours moved pretty quickly.

The VSOD was my favorite, really rich and complex with big bourbon and oak flavors. The subtle raisin/dark fruit notes really popped as it warmed up.

And completely agree on Deth by Cherries. I wasn't even sure I would try that one, but once I had a sip of my buddy's, I immediately ordered a pour myself. It was really well done, plenty of cherry flavor without being overwhelming.

I'm assuming all the variants kicked last night?

Vanilla kicked before I even got in around 6. VSOD was actually still pouring when I left a little after 8, so there is an outside chance it could still be on today.

Good times and well run. Must have hit the sweet spot as buddy/I got there just before 5; found a couple seats; got in line for a pour of each. Waited maybe 10 minutes for pours initially. Bartenders were awesome!
VSOD was stellar and the nitro version was underwhelming. Will be going back for pours of the cherry variant.
Best thing of the night ...THE FOOD! Those Deth's Tar Ding Dong's. Oh. My!

Says that it's been aged both in Heaven Hills and Old Forester barrels. My guess is this batch was done exclusively to see how it would taste after 21 months compared to the blend (this is pure postulation). I think years before it was exclusively aged 6 months in Woodford but don't know enough without looking at last year's DT's box. Almost feels like they don't care as much about the details and documentation is sorta hard to dig up on the internet.

In the end, awesome event, plenty enough to go around for everyone to enjoy the beer and well priced. Looking forward to next yeas's party!

I was surprised I got two full pours of the variants for only $9, not bad at all

FML...I had a night out to drink and came home early. I would've for sure gone to try those had I know this. Can't win them all.

Agree with many others, Cherry was amazing. VSOD was also amazing, but a step below cherry for me. Cafe was too coffee forward for me but still good (not as good as regular for me though).

I could only find bottles of regular around my area today. Bummer. I want a vanilla so badly.

Had another Cafe Deth from the bottle last night and it was fantastic!

Would have posted in the other thread but it is now locked. Stopped by the brew pub for a pint and bottles were still being sold FWI. Love the no hassle dank bottle grabs....

Wasn't a fan of the Cherry, but the VSOD omg, fantastic. Cafe is fab as always.

Does anyone know how much Cafe Deth hit distribution? It doesn't seem to be anywhere near as plentiful as regular Deth's Tar, at least right now.
