Hey Everyone, Long time lurker, first post. I've been reading a lot of good things from you guys about Revolution Brewing over the last few months. I'm just over the border in WI but I don't get down to Chicago very often. I will be down there this Saturday night for a show and I'm trying to talk my group into going a bit out of our way to get there before we jump back on the train to WI. My question is, what kind of crowd can I expect for a Saturday night between 11 and 12ish? Is there any kind of wait to get in, etc? Thanks!
At least an hour, if you're going to a show at Congress Theater, it's a very short walk to Revolution
Well they have limited capacity, so that's the wait to get in and get a table or a seat at the bar. I'm not sure how they do their growler sales, never got one from there. I was there yesterday and the taplist said that they are tapping more Double Fist(IIPA) and Coup D'Etat(Saison) today, the 12th. The double fist was great last time I was there and I would definately recommend it.
There's a second bar upstairs, and you will most likely be able to get a beer up there if there's no room at the main level bar, just ask your server if you can go up. Not sure if they do growlers upstairs.
Crap. We're coming from east of 94, so I'd have to get us on a bus. Definitely won't have time before catching the train back. I'll have to make a special trip down there one of these days; it sounds like it's worth it. Thanks for your help!
How about this? Does anyone know where/if I can find any of their beers on tap in the Belmont/Broadway area?
i'm gonna say try sheffield's. there's only one revolution tap there right now, but they do have a lot of other good stuff. it's pretty hard to find places that will have more than one revolution tap. sites below. cheers. http://www.sheffieldschicago.com/ http://www.beermenus.com/places/1083-sheffield-s
Anti-Hero is at AliveOne near there: http://www.beermenus.com/places/1546-aliveone I'd check beermenus again on Saturday to be sure though.
