Citra Hero is available on draft at our brewpub and taproom, and is also available in 22-ounce bottles for purchase from our tap room and other retailers. We are also releasing Solitaire on June 25, an easy-drinking Belgian-style single ale only available on draft at the brewpub and tap room. Can't wait for this to hit distro!
I think I bought bottle #1 the other day at the brewpub. Ha. Got there right as they opened. It was a happy accident. To answer your question, no, I have not tried it yet. Their last two Hero releases have been amazing, so I don't see why Citra would be any different.
Picked some up at Archer Liquors a couple of days ago. Really enjoyable. I am going to grab a couple more when I get the chance. I haven't had too many of the Revolution beers, but it might be my favorite of the 'Hero' beers I've tried.
I bought a couple from La Primera on Tuesday to drink during the US game. Liked this a great deal...very tropical nose and a balanced palate. It's a tamer version of Citra Ninja...less alcohol, less sweetness, and not as viscous. I think Revolution hit this one out of the park.
Really stupid question but will this still be available in 2-3 weeks? I'm heading to Chicago July 18 and would love to try this
Based on past "Hero" releases from Rev I would be willing to bet that this will most definitely be around in 2-3 weeks. However, this "Hero" release has that magic word "Citra" in it so I really don't know how long it will last. If I were you I would check back here a few days before you come to town.
thanks man. if i miss out, i miss out. i am not one to wait in line or stress over a beer, because ultimately, it's a beer. there's plenty of delicious beers out there so. i just hope i can grab some on draft if i don't stroll across it at binny's. thanks again, it is appreciated.
