Cracked open a can of Fistmas over the weekend. I found it to be completely lacking the orange peel flavor. But way way more ginger taste. Very spicy. I like it a lot but it was different. Thoughts? Anyone know if they stopped using orange?
This year was my first time having it so I can't compare, but it reminded me of an IPA. It seemed to focus on the hops, so I'd drink it fresh..
I'm not sure "conspiracy theory" is the right use of the phrase for the title of this thread. Unless of course they didn't use orange peel and have set out to lie about it for some reason that only jesse ventura knows. How about "Revolution Fistmas - What happened to the orange peel?" "Revolution Fistmas - Too much ginger?" "Revolution Fistmas - more hop forward?" "Revolution Fistmas - Wheres the spice?" "Revolution Fistmas - Why is no one talking about Jim Cibek & Matty Kemp being lifelong members of the Illuminati dead set on releasing beers without orange peel to cover up their goal of a one world govt?"
Well, based on Revolution's mug club email... Fistmas is a red ale brewed for the holiday season with specialty malts to achieve a beautiful deep red hue and the aromas of fresh baked bread, caramel, and stone fruits. Steeped with ginger root and orange peel.
I like it just as much as last year....its just different. I wasn't getting the citrus notes. Also, this is absolutely a conspiracy theory of the highest order. I don't like getting gipped out of my orange peel flavors!
FEMA Camps are displacing orange groves in Florida. Crop prices are way up due to Food Stamp usage. Orange peels are harder to get than ammunition. Total conspiracy.
It's all part of the conspiracy. Obviously this label art is a reference to the Denver Broncos superfan "Barrel Man." Denver International Airport has a huge secret underground government facility. The New World Order members will all be flown there to run the world. And I'll bet those bunkers are stocked with Revolution Cans.
When I snuck in there prior to heading for the Great American Beer Festival a month ago: The cans are all from Avery Brwg.
