Read all about it! RHG comes to the USA!

“Kräftig Lager and Kräftig Light were created as a testament to St. Louis’ respect for the way Germans brew their beer,” said William K. Busch, president and chief executive officer. “Giving a nod to my German heritage, our products were given a German name and are brewed under the well-respected German beer purity law, Reinheitsgebot.”

Not to dismiss this news, but many brew according to RHG.

Exactly, this is, similarly to Germany nowadays, little more than marketing.

Stroh and Hudepohl had a legal conflict back in 1984 over advertising for their Erlanger and Christian Moerlein (respectively) brands, in which both brewers' claimed that their beer was the "first/only" US beer to pass the Reinheitsgebot. (US newspaper not too familiar with the term at the time ).
