Heading that way next weekend. Coking from NYC. I know Suarez is not too far, but looking for other Brewery suggestions nearby or along the way to Rhinebeck.

There are a couple 'hot spots' not far from the Taconic, which I assume you'll be starting out on.

    (1) If you like sours and chill places then Captain Lawrence is a must. It's in Elmsford a mile or two from the Sprain (Taconic).

    (2) Beacon (10 min west of taconic on 84): Industrial Arts, Hudson Valley, and Obercreek (Wappingers Falls). The last two are for sour IPA and NEIPA, respectively. Although, Obercreek fashions a really good coffee stout. Industrial Arts has a lot more variety.

    (3) Poughkeepsie (20-25 min north of Beacon on Rte.9): Plan Bee and Mill House. Plan Bee has sours. Mill House has good, not great, beer. But the food there is amazing if you're hungry.

    (4) Sloop is a couple miles from Suarez itself. This one is on a farm. There's also a second location in Fishkill; this one is in an industrial park. It's right off I-84 as you're heading to Beacon.

Suarez is about 30 minutes past Rhinebeck, and certainly worth the trip. The original Sloop location is close by, but is skippable if time is an issue. Obercreek and Plan Bee are both worth the detours. Plan Bee has a lot of bottles that are brewery only, and Hudson Valley should have a can release this Friday if you decide to stop there. Mill House is doing the whole brewpub thing, and is HORRENDOUSLY overpriced.

In addition to what's been mentioned: Kings Court in Poughkeepsie does some really nice things.
