The cider has been here for a while. Not surprised to see the whole lineup coming. Just another one that will clog up the dusty shelves.

I'm surprised by that. I heard Cincy has really good beer.

It's not that the beer isnt good. It's just the way things have gone in the past here. Brewery comes in, people get exited and buy, now they have tried it and move on, the beer sits forever. Revolution, urban chestnut, wicked weed, almanac... Ithas happened many times already and will continue to. MA needs to cull the shelves before adding new offerings.

Makes me wonder about the longevity of some brewery expansions. We are looking at the craft boom in such a small window. I notice a lot of local/import dusties on the shelves... it will be interesting to see what the next few years bring.

Maybe it is different by region of MA, but in metro-west wicked weed, revolution and almanac are still moving pretty fast here. Not available in every store, but the stores that get them, move them.

I do agree we are hitting saturation and people like new shiny objects.

Wicked Weed and Almanac have slowed down slightly but I think that's more a price thing than anything else--they're putting sours and unique beers on the shelves which has some value. I tried Rhinegeist's IPA when they did a drop around ACBF or something and it checked a lot of boxes for me, it's a really nice beer, but with all the fresh local options I definitely do not need it.

My wife is from Cincy so i head out there a couple times a year; last time out I enjoyed fresh Truth. Very enjoyable beer, for sure, and I'm excited to visit the brewery next time around. I have to agree with the majority sentiment here that the catalyst for picking up a sixer in MA would most likely be novelty, especially with very fresh (and very good) local options increasing distribution and taking up more space. With that being said - their beers are definitely worth a try.

have tried a few over the year - ipa, pale or wheat? and currently have Dad, xmas hoppy amber, in the fridge and I'd say that rhinegiest is definitely near the top of quality in the "$10/6pack/12ozcans" grouping.

I've enjoyed everything I've tried, but they also haven't stopped my monthly pilgrimages to fort point or monson...not that they intended to.

I think wicked weed and almanac deserve praise for being some of the best shelf sours you can find in MA. Living near trillium though, I almost never pickup hoppy stuff from the store anymore.
