I'm interested in darting over to RI for some Proclamation & Tilted Barn, but there's not too much info on this forum. Any help would be appreciated. What are lines like on Friday night or Saturday? Typical limits? Aren't their new RI growler laws and/or can limits? My plan was to maybe hit Proclamation at open on a Friday and then head up to Tilted Barn, but I'm not sure what kind of crowd to expect or how fast the lines move, etc. Thanks!
Wish I knew but I'm doing the same thing today. Getting to Proclamation when they open, then the barn at 5pm. Never been to the barn.
I feel like Tilted has been way more crowded as of late, due to them canning, I would suggest going there first and then going to Proclamation after. This way I think you would be more likely to receive cans at Tilted. Usually its just a couple 4 packs for TB and I feel like lately they haven't been filling growlers? Proclamation will have more options and limits usually, with fills available too. Also, TB usually has a food truck, but Proc doesn't, if that makes a difference.
For the RI limit question, 288 ounce limit, works for 24 12 ounce cans, 18 16 ounce cans, and any 2.25 gallon combo of growlers
Its mellow unless its a new release. You can usually be in an out in no time. As far as food iption there is a tillys steak sandwhich place that opened up close the proc.
I've heard very good things about Tilly's and it is BYOB so you can crack a can there. There is also like a 10-15% discount deal on food if you bring a Proc can in to enjoy on a release day. To echo others, TB is typically the tougher get. If you line up between half hour before up until open you are typically ok for a full allotment.
Proclamation was great, minimal wait. Stopped by Whalers Brewing as well before the Tilted Barn. Got to the barn at 5 when they opened and it was a cluster. By the time we got in, 3 beers had kicked for cans.
As for the restaurant that has flipped a few times and now under renovation at the corner near Tilted Barn, I researched the Town Planning hearing notes and saw the applicant LLC has an address of...Lulu's in Allston. So now I'm very intrigued on what will happen there, that could add to the experience of a visit to TB.
Wow I had missed this article from a while ago, guess it is all public. But that April 2016 opening didn't quite happen... www.providencejournal.com/news/20160122/ri-native-olivia-culpo-invests-in-farm-country-eatery-in-north-kingstown
