So this is a long shot but is there a RI share group that's active? I moved down here and had some pretty regular shares in MA and my cellar is just kind of overwhelming at the moment. Plus my wife doesn't drink sours, soooo...yeah. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and if maybe we can do something about it. I live near Proclamation for point of reference. Not really a huge sour fan but I would be down for some BA and hoppy sharing if your down. I'm in Tiverton.
I live in North Providence but frequently visit Tiverton because of husband's family, and also dig on hops and BAs (but sours too). Haven't ever been to a bottleshare group, but if you get something together I'd be interested. Definitely have some stuff in the cellar I could put towards it.
We usually have a few in central Providence and in Northern RI but nothing in near Proclamation Ale yet. I have plenty of stuff from GA, VA and TX to share as well.
key word: yet. I'm looking to set something up in April. Or this Saturday, whatever might work better. It might seem crazy but the good thing about my proximity to Proclamation is the Amtrak station is right there.
I often host shares with a group in Providence. New people are always welcome, occasionally there's a theme, but we typically just bring a few things we wanna try. Then after several beers someone convinces me to pop a Juicy or something. Always a good time - shoot me a PM if you wanna join sometime.
