I am in south Kingston Rhode Island until Wednesday and wanted to know where the best craft beer store is in Rhode Island? I am willing to drive
I would love to go to proclamation but Google says they aren't open until Thursday. Do any stores carry trailblazer from nj or Grimm or finback from ny?
trailblazer is just now getting some distro in ct and i dont know about it going outside of there. if you were looking into going to proclamation, take the extra 15 mins down the road and go to grey sail and get all the capt daughter you can handle!
Where in Connecticut is trailblazer distributed? Any store close to grey sail? Cause it seems like grey sail is on the border of Rhode Island and Connecticut
i really dont know the territory for trailblazer as its still a very very new brewery. i know it gets around hartford and new haven counties but outside that i dont know.
Shoreline liquors in Waterford Ct is about 25 minutes from grey sail. They had plenty of sip of sunshine the other day. Pretty nice packy. As far as trailblazer goes I know it has hit windham and new london county but haven't been able to get my hands on it.
Thank you @warcloud I just called them and they said no sip of sunshine in stock. They get shipments on Tuesday they said so ill try again tomorrow. Thanks again for the insight! Are there any other really good IPAs that are distributed in Rhode Island or Connecticut? New England style IPAs are my favorite
G Bot if you can find it and captain's daughter which was mentioned above. If your venturing into CT outer light brewery is worth a stop.
Captains daughter is solid but nothing I would go too crazy for. Although I've only had it from MA stores so maybe it's wasn't as fresh. I've had g bot once and I liked it a lot. Where can you get that?
To answer your original question, Nikkis in Providence is the best beer store in RI. Close to you, Wakefield Liquors is good. Since you can't get to Proclamation, you may be able to find bottles but it should be on tap at some better beer bars in SK and throughout the state.
G bot doesnt really make it to far outta new haven county. Your best source for it is from nebco themselves. But thats a solid hour into ct from where youre at
Mews Tavern in Wakefield should have Proclamation's Derivative and/or Tendril on tap if you want a taste. G-Bot doesn't get to RI. Unfortunately you are probably a matter of weeks from Proclamation expanding hours and selling a lot more beer out of the brewery. The brewery limit laws for on premise AND take home beer and are about to take effect within this or next week. Tilted Barn in Exeter would be my other recommendation for NE-style pales and IPAs, but their hours and capacity is limited with no distro as of yet. I echo Wakefield Liquors as a good store, but Captain's Daughter if available will be the only worthwhile option (although not your preference). RI's porter and stout game is pretty strong but most people are not in the mood for that during the dog days...
