Interesting new wrinkle in the pre-sale method with it being different days for different allotment sizes.

Looks like the link isn't working yet like it's supposed to be. This is why I don't like internet pre-sales.

Eh, even with the wrinkles I'd prefer them to most other release types. But yeah, sitting around and hitting refresh isn't the most fun at the moment.

Yeah, seemed to sell out more than directly. Weird.

Not me. I was on at 3:00 sharp trying from then until now. For the first 20 minutes it said the event wasn't live yet and it just switched to sold out. Ha I guess I'm not cut out for modern day beer releases, this is so dumb.

I'll have to say that sold out MUCH quicker than I expected, and I'm a bit nervous that I haven't gotten an email confirmation of my ticket yet. FF announced that it was live, like we really mean it this time guys, and it was sold out in under a minute probably. I didn't expect it to stick around for long, but didn't expect it to go in under a minute.

But having the flexibility to show up when I want the weekend of the release, and not have to stand in line for hours is a big thing to me.

It certainly is nice for those folks that the website randomly selects. Just sucks for anyone willing to do whatever it takes otherwise.

Guess I'll try again tomorrow, I'm sure that will go better lol.

It certainly does depend on the lengths you're willing to go. If you're perfectly willing to wait in line for 3 hours (which will guarantee you almost any beer release) then this system isn't as good for you. If you're the person that hates doing that, its better as you know whether or not you have beer already. Personally, I much prefer WW's system. Presale a pretty decent amount of the beer (no idea of the percentage), then hold some for people lining up. FF probably just doesn't make enough for that to be feasible though.

I'm hoping tomorrow does go smoother and that today was rough because they had a limited number of 4 packs and they have more 2 packs. No idea though. Fairly certain a number of my friends will be trying again tomorrow.

I'm thinking they shouldn't have done any 4-bottle allotments and just done it all 2-per if they really have that little of it. I'm definitely fine with driving out there for just two since I wasn't expecting there to be a higher limit than that anyway. Today just doesn't give me a lot of confidence about tomorrow, particularly with the website hiccups.

I saw Fonta Flora comment on Instagram they sold 150 tickets today of the 4-bottle package. No idea how many 2-bottles will be up for grabs tomorrow though

I got an allotment. Once it finally went live at 3:15 it came right up.

I signed up at that "Universe" hosting sight and found their link instead of using FF's homepage. Maybe that helped me. Was able to have my info already in the system.

I was also doing that with the Universe site, it seemed more legit than the FF link.

I had both open, but ended up using the link straight from the FF website.

Am I the only one that much prefers the comradery and humor of the 10 hour beer line? Its one of the best aspects of beer imho. Even if there isn't a public share happening its always a great time. I'm very good at online releases from experience with concert tickets and art, but I would much prefer having the memories of the in-line shares and hilarity. Its the only time I get to see some of my best beer friends. Oh well, end rant.
